Betty White says she is “blessed with good health” as she looks forward to her 99th birthday

She turns 99 this Sunday.

And national girlfriend Betty White shared that she is still feeling good about her birthday around the corner.

‘I am blessed with good health, so turning 99 is no different than turning 98,’ she told People, noting the importance of ‘sense of humor’.

The Golden Girls icon wisely said, ‘Don’t take yourself too seriously. You can lie to others, not me, but you cannot lie to yourself.

She also likes to maintain an optimistic outlook on life, like ‘I don’t like the other side. The positive side is much more fun. ‘

Betty eagerly anticipates life after confinement when “visiting close friends and bringing food to my animal friends” becomes viable.

His tips for longevity and happiness are: ‘Again, have a sense of humor. Just look on the bright side and don’t think about the negative. ‘

She stressed: ‘It consumes a lot of energy being negative. Also having a good agent that keeps me busy all the time.

Last spring, a friend of hers said that Betty still enjoys a cocktail from time to time, while staying home in the middle of the pandemic.

The Hot In Cleveland star’s favorite drink is a ‘vodka martini’ with ‘hot dogs and chips’, a friend of hers told Closer Weekly.

This friend shared: ‘Betty loves to play that vodka keeps her young. She loves the image of her sitting at home in a rocking chair, drinking a martini and watching game shows, but she’s not really a big drinker. This is not her. She will only take a few sips of a cocktail if the occasion calls for it.

Betty lives in Carmel, California, and last year her representative told Today that she ‘has a beautiful yard with lots of wild animals visiting’.

She ‘Has helpers who are great’ with her and ‘wild animals visiting’ her yard, said the representative, saying: ‘The virus is afraid of Betty!’

Betty starred in the 1985 to 1992 show as Rose Nylund, a generous bearded blonde from St. Olaf, Minnesota.

She was part of the main cast with Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty, the three were younger than she, but have died before her.

The Golden Girls ended because Bea didn’t want to do that anymore, so Betty joined Rue and Estelle in a sequence of sequences.
