Betty White reveals how she will quarantine her 99th birthday

Betty White is preparing to celebrate.

The legendary comedy actress turns 99 on January 17 and, like many in the past few months, will spend her birthday indoors and with few people around due to the continued spread of the coronavirus.

The “Golden Girls” star recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight and revealed exactly how she would be celebrating her big day.

“You probably didn’t ask, but I’ll tell you anyway,” White joked. “What am I doing on my birthday? Running a mile every morning has been restricted by COVID, so I’m working to relaunch ‘The Pet Set’ and feed the two ducks that come to visit me every day.”

The two activities go hand in hand, as “The Pet Set” was White’s positive animal series that featured conversations about pet care, wildlife preservation and celebrity visits and a plethora of domesticated animals such as dogs and cats, and wild ones, like elephants, bears, gorillas and kangaroos, reports the communication channel.

On February 23, the series will be available on DVD and streaming platforms, which will mark the program’s 50th anniversary.

Among the show’s producers was Allen Ludden, White’s late husband.

“‘The Pet Set’ is one of my favorite shows,” said the legendary star in a statement obtained by the vehicle. “I am thrilled that I will be seen again after all these years.”

Although the pandemic is keeping White indoors and her age puts her at a greater risk of contracting the new virus, White said last March that she was looking on the bright side.

“I am blessed with incredibly good health,” America’s girlfriend told Closer Weekly. “This is something you appreciate very much.”

Artist and friend Tom Sullivan also told the agency that former “Golden Girls” and “Mary Tyler Moore Show” stars have kept themselves busy while keeping themselves safe.
