Bethesda is making an Indiana Jones game

Bethesda’s next project is a big surprise: today, the publisher released a new Indiana Jones game.

Although we don’t know anything about the title yet – the announcement was simply a short video teaser – it is being developed by MachineGames, the same studio behind the Wolfenstein franchise. Bethesda chief Todd Howard will be the executive producer. The title is being made under the new Lucasfilm Games label, which was announced yesterday as part of a renewed focus on Disney and Lucasfilm games.

Although the details are scarce, Disney says that “the game will tell a totally original and autonomous story at the height of the famous adventurer’s career”. The teaser video hints that the game will be in Rome.

There is no word yet on when the game will be released or on which platforms it will be. At this point, it doesn’t even have a full title.
