The AK-74u has been a reliable weapon for a long time in Call of Duty games, and this is no different in the Cold War Black Ops. The submachine gun offers decent firepower with very normal accuracy, control and rate of fire. If you use the AK-74u, you need to level it 55 times to access all the weapon’s accessories and see its full use. When you do, it’s time to consider your best course of action to get the most out of the weapon with the five limited attachment slots allowed. 10.3 ”Task Force
Our first accessory is for the AK-74u barrel, where we chose Task Force 10.3. This barrel gives us more firepower in exchange for some initial ammo recoil control. Don’t worry about the price; we’ll be making up for that with our other attachments. The increased speed of the bullet and the effective damage range are worth it.
Spetsnaz Speedgrip
Next, our underbarrel is the Spetsnaz Speedgrip, which compensates for some of the kickback control that we lost with the Task Force. This also gives a slight increase in running speed, but decreases your normal and shooting speed. It is not a very important factor, so we can live with that sacrifice.
VDV 50 Rnd Fast Mag
While the Task Force removed an initial magazine from our AK-74u, the VDV 50 Rnd Fast Mag compensates for that by giving us 20 extra rounds to equal 50 shots per reload in the magazine. The reload speed has also been increased by 40%, so now we consider almost everything that we gave up on the increase in power previously. You see a 25% reduction in aiming speed, but again, we will take that into account.
GRU Elastic Wrap
Our strap accessory for the AK-74u is the GRU Elastic Wrap, which gives us a 30% increase to reduce vision speed and a massive 80% increase in resistance to wavering. You will see another slight nerf in your shooting speed, but that hardly matters for the speed you see in other areas. The negative sprint to trigger time will be covered in our last annex.
Out of stock
Our last attachment is Out of Stock in the Stock section. Instead of losing 15% of the sprint to the firing time with the GRU Elastic Wrap, we gained 30% for a total increase of 15% more in that area than we would normally see. There will be a slight adjustment to the accuracy of your hip shot, but the AK-74u is a relatively accurate weapon anyway, so you should be fine with this sacrifice.
