‘Petite Maman’ debuted in competition at the Berlinale.

After working together on the domestic launch of Portrait of a lady on fire, Neon acquired Celine Sciamma’s US rights Petite Maman.

Petite Maman, which premiered at the Berlinale, is a time travel story that follows 8-year-old Nelly, who has just lost her beloved grandmother and is helping her parents clean their mother’s childhood home, Marion. While exploring the surrounding forest, she meets a girl her age, who looks exactly like her and is called Marion.

Sisters Joséphine Sanz and Gabrielle Sanz star in the film, alongside Nina Meurisse, Stéphane Varupenne and Margot Abascal.

Bénédicte Couvreur produced by Lilies Films.

Mk2 negotiated the deal on behalf of the filmmakers and is taking care of international sales.
