Impact Genshin ‘s Bennett is great. But when people talk about it, it’s mostly about your kit. While most healers in the game are Cryo or Hydro units, he is a Pyro. Not to mention that the Elemental Blast effect restores health and increases a character’s attack. He is an easy to use sword manager. Even your normal Elemental Skill does useful Pyro damage. But what people may also miss is that he is a genuinely fun and adorable underdog.
Bennett is an orphan who has always had a passion for adventure. Even if, well, the world is not good for him or for the people who explore with him. His luck is absolutely worse, but he never lets himself down. The people on your team can leave you. It can be struck by lightning. But it never discourages you. And that never stops you from worrying about the people around you and trying to help them. Misfortunes shaped him, but they never discouraged him. As a result, you get this incredibly optimistic ally who is passionate about the world, finding new treasures and seeing new landscapes. It’s invigorating, as if you have a classic RPG protagonist as your best virtual friend.

There is nothing more appropriate than inadvertently obtaining the achievement for being struck by lightning while trying to obtain a dramatic image of Benny using his Elemental Skill.
Bennett has some of the best idle and dubbed lines in Impact Genshin. That’s because, well, he’s well aware of how unlucky he is and some of them play with the idea that fate has put a target on his back. I mean, he choked on his son’s sandwich while he offered you one! But although many of them point out how susceptible he is to … um, being struck by lightning or falling into a trap, there is this perpetual hope.
Bennett is surrounded by people who love him, and I’m not just talking about players who realize how useful he is. We see that he has parents, adventurers in the guild who have put him under his protection and love him. We know that Katheryne still keeps a record of his team, even if he is reduced to one member. He references being a fan of Barbara and her story mentions how she cares about him when he returns from a spoiled hike. It is a comfort to know that although people know that he is a magnet for disaster, they still love him.
Which makes it even more ironic that, as perfectly suited as Impact Genshin ‘s Bennett is to be a protagonist, he is not. I like to think that it is another example of miHoYo showing exactly how bad his luck is. Here we have the ideal type of hero, someone who fits the mold perfectly, and he is dragged aside because he is in a game with so many other notable characters. He’s not even featured in any campaign or event mission from 1.2!
Impact Genshin ‘s Bennett is an amazing guy. It has an interesting backstory that plays with all the concepts we expect from our typical RPG heroes. He is a practical character that fits well in any party. I also love the fact that miHoYo created someone you can really relate to and root for. Especially since the poor guy still hasn’t won the spotlight. And, as it is a four star that is always available, everyone has the chance to add this great ally to their squad.
Impact Genshin is available for PlayStation 4, PC and Android and Apple iOS devices. The Albedo banner, which also features Bennett, Fischl and Sucrose, will be available until January 12, 2021. The Ganyu banner will appear after that.
