Bella Hadid shares pictures of chronic diseases IV

“Always finding time for my IVs.”

Bella Hadid just gave us a glimpse into her life with a chronic illness.

Bella was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012. Her mother, Yolanda, and her brother, Anwar, were also diagnosed with the bacterial disease.

Beside a series of IG photos of Bella fixing her hair while putting an IV in her arm, she wrote: “Living with some chronic autoimmune diseases = always finding time for my IVs”.

And in her story, Bella also shared an image of bandages on her arms, writing, “After 10 years of needles, my little veins usually gave out once before we got a good one.”

This is not the first time that Bella has been candid about Lyme disease at IG – she previously shared an image of some common symptoms – including headaches, joint pain and nausea – many of which she feels every day.

In addition, in 2016, Bella spoke at the Global Lyme Alliance Gala in New York, where she explained how Lyme disease led her to be educated at home and give up her “dream of [her] life “to be a professional rider.
