The first announcement of the new 2021 Oculus Quest game is the visually stunning Mare.
Mare was announced years ago, but recently reappeared in the Oculus Quest store soon. It is the first time that we have heard of a Quest version of the title, which has been announced for ‘Oculus Platforms’ since 2016. The game is a third-person adventure with a mix of game styles, but it is clearly inspired by the classic of Fumita Ueda , Ico. Check out his impressive visual style in the trailer below.
Mare Oculus Quest confirmed version
In the game, you will guide a young girl exploring a mysterious dungeon using motion controllers and a high-flying artificial bird. The gameplay seems to consist of a mixture of puzzles and exploration, spread over eight chapters. It is also breathtaking, showing ruined ruins and cloudy skies. Your inspirations are clear, and if you can achieve that level of visual fidelity in Quest, it will be one of the most beautiful games on the platform.
The final release date of the game was not given, but the developer Visiontrick Media tweeted that would arrive “at the very beginning” of the year, so we hope to be talking about weeks. We introduced Mare in our pre-show for the first E3 VR Showcase in 2019. Suffice to say, we waited patiently for this one.
