Bears WR Cordarrelle Patterson unsure about their future with the team

Well, it was an interesting week for the Chicago Bears. They extended some important players – in Cairo Santos and Pat O’Donnell – along with rumors that they would have a big impact on the defender’s position. There is a key player who has not yet received a contract. That player is Cordarrelle Patterson.

Patterson signed with the Bears in 2019, playing a big role in special teams, as well as being a wide receiver. In two seasons, he was shot 42 times, catching 32 of those targets in 215 yards.

On the ground, Patterson had more success last season, with Tarik Cohen injured. In 81 attempts in the past two seasons, he has 335 yards and an accelerated touchdown.

Patterson plays his big role in the return game, where he was twice All-Pro. In the past two seasons, Patterson has made two touchdowns on 63 returns. He averaged 29.2 yards per return with 1,842 yards in total.

On Twitter, Patterson had a little fun with Bears fans. He played the role of “GM of Twitter”, recruiting players over the past two seasons. This time – after pressing Russell Wilson to come to Chicago – Patterson is curious as to where he will play next season.

In a tweet that was answered by Tarik Cohen and other Bears fans, Patterson said, “Ready to see where I’m going to play next year.”

Cohen had fun offering to recruit his own GM for “Twitter”.

Fans are even willing to donate to pay their salary if Ryan Pace doesn’t.

Kicker Brandon McManus offered a spot at the Broncos, saying he should join him there.

Hopefully, Patterson will remain a Bear for the next season, although his tweet was not exactly comforting. He helped Bears to offend a lot on some big kick returns. In addition to returning two touchdowns, he had a huge heads-up game stomping one foot out of bounce before touching the ball against the Packers during the Week 17 clash. This move gave Chicago the ball at the 40-yard line.
