According to the latest rumors, Battlefield 6 will be inspired by the fan favorite Battlefield 3. In addition, the game could simply be titled “Battlefield” and is also coming to PS4 and Xbox One.
This year, we will finally have a new Battlefield game, which should arrive sometime during the holiday season. According to previous rumors, the game will return to the modern environment, something that many players are eager to see.
Today, we have some new Battlefield 6 rumors from trusted insider Tom Henderson, who is a well-known source of all things about Call of Duty and Battlefield. In his latest video, Henderson shared some new information about the game. You can check out the full video below, but here’s a quick breakdown of all the new information, in case you can’t watch the video:
Henderson says that Battlefield 6 will be heavily influenced by Battlefield 3 and could be called simply “Battlefield”. It is a smooth reboot of the series, as mentioned before and will emphasize large-scale battles with maps that support up to 128 players.
In addition, he states that the game is also scheduled to be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which means it will not be exclusive to next-generation consoles. Henderson says the PS4 and Xbox One version will only have 32 vs 32 game modes with some graphics downgrades and limited destruction.
Apparently, the game version for PS4 and Xbox One is in development “by a different studio or a different part of the same studio”, which suggests that EA is taking both versions of the game seriously.
Last but not least, a real battle mode for Battlefield 6 was in development. It seems that EA is impressed by the success of Call of Duty Warzone and wants to try to bring a much better Battle Royale experience with Battlefield 6. Let’s just hope it doesn’t end up as Firestorm.
While everything you just read seems realistic and Henderson is a reliable source, we suggest that you accept this with a grain of salt, just like any other unconfirmed rumor or information.
