Battlefield 6 may launch on the Xbox Game Pass on the first day, according to a new rumor.
The statement comes from the Xbox-centric podcast, Xbox Era, just below, in which a commentator reveals that Battlefield 6 may be coming to the Xbox Game Pass at launch.
Could Battlefield 2021 be a Game Pass Day 1 title? Here’s what @Shpeshal_Ed from the XboxEra podcast had to say.https: //t.co/l4RYoEmIOq #Battlefield #Xbox pic.twitter.com/EZxBRqHlDHApril 5, 2021
Shortly thereafter, Battlefield’s historic leaker Tom Henderson he threw his weight behind the podcast host’s comment, in a tweet that simply used Robert Redford’s waving gif. That one it could it can be read as a sign that Henderson believes the rumor is true or it can also be seen as the leaker, just excited by the idea of Battlefield 6 being released on Game Pass.
Of course, nothing has been confirmed by EA or Xbox so far, and Battlefield 6 has not yet been properly announced by the previous company. Last year, EA quietly revealed that Battlefield 6 would be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X sometime during the following year, in 2021.
Since then, there has been a plethora of leaks and rumors surrounding the game. One leaker claimed that Battlefield 6 can support up to 128 players on massive multiplayer maps, and another rumor stated that the game would return to a modern setting, deviating from the 20th century settings of Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5. However, at the beginning of this another leaker claimed that the unannounced game would be taking place about a decade from now, and would feature robots, drones and other slightly futuristic methods of war.
Whether this latest rumor is true or not, we will just have to wait and see what EA has planned. For now, though, Battlefield 6 is about to be released later this year in 2021, and recently received support from developer Criterion, who was recruited by EA to help get the sniper to the finish line.
