According to The Sun, the team was no longer able to film action scenes at Warner Bros Studios in Hertfordshire after the stuntwoman contracted the virus.

A source told the publication: ‘Filming a blockbuster of this scale is difficult enough without the threat of Covid approaching.

‘While this proves that the Warner Bros. testing regime is working, having so many people off the set for ten days is a headache the studio could live without, especially when they are counting on the stunt crew to deliver the scenes most spectacular in the film. ‘

Batman has already faced major delays after production was suspended for six months in March in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although a source said that Robert and other stars in the film were unaffected, it was thought that some stunt scenes to be filmed at Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire, have been delayed until those affected have ended their isolation.

A source said at the time: ‘It is very disastrous.’

MailOnline contacted representatives from Warner Bros. for comments at the time.

Production resumed in September, but was delayed again when the star Robert reportedly tested positive for coronavirus.

A source told MailOnline at the time: ‘Today is the first day that the main production unit has started shooting again and there seem to be no other hiccups at the moment.’
