Batman and Superman are supposed to meet on the Arrowverse

At the end of this month, the Arrowverse is set to expand with the debut of Superman and Lois, with longtime guest star Tyler Hoechlin in the role of Man of Steel. It was a big deal when the CW went all out to use the hero in 2016 and since then, the chain’s DC franchise has grown steadily. 2019’s Crisis on Infinite Earths even featured a version of Batman – Kevin Conroy’s corrupt Bruce Wayne from another Earth – but will there come a day when Superman and Bats will be able to join Arrowverse?

Well, we are hearing that it is definitely something the network is waiting for, according to insider Daniel Richtman, the CW wants Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne to meet at some point. Their objective is apparently to build their Justice League in a more comical formation and they plan that the two heroes will eventually cross paths.

Of course, the Arrowverse finally formed a version of the Justice League – albeit not called it – at the end of “Crisis”, with the list consisting of Superman, Flash, Supergirl, White Canary, Batwoman, Martian Manhunter and Black Lightning. At the end of next season, however, the team will have three fewer members. Kate Kane has already left and Kara Danvers and Jefferson Pierce are ready to follow, so adding Batman to their ranks would be an incredible blow.

Fans wondered if the CW was about to introduce the Dark Knight when Warren Christie was cast as Bruce’s true face in Bat Woman – Christie plays Hush, who underwent surgery to look like the billionaire. Presumably, he would be the first choice to get the role, so if they managed to get authorization from Warner Bros. to finally get your hands on Caped Crusader.

Superman and Lois opens with a two-hour premiere on Tuesday, February 23, and while it probably won’t happen this year, maybe Batman may be on his way to Arrowverse in the not too distant future.
