Batista offers $ 20,000 reward in box of trumpet manatee

Former WWE champion Batista is offering a $ 20,000 reward to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the man responsible for defacing a manatee.

Discovered last week, a Florida manatee had the word “Trump” scraped off its back. The manatee survived the attack as it was found swimming in the Homosassa River in western Florida’s Citrus County last week.

In a tweet, Batista called the attacker “lesser life” before offering a big reward with potential bonuses to anyone who can bring information.

“If there is still no reward for the imprisonment and conviction of the trickster rascals who did this, I will raise $ 20,000,” wrote Batista. “And I promise there will be a bonus for this reward!”

There is currently another reward being offered by the Center for Biological Diversity, which is $ 5,000. The director of the center mentioned in Florida, Jaclyn Lopez, noted the seriousness of this attack, considering that manatees are an endangered species.

“Manatees are not billboards, and people shouldn’t mess with these sensitive and threatened animals for any reason,” said Lopez. “However, this political graffiti was placed on this manatee, it is a crime to interfere with these creatures, which are protected by several federal laws.”

The United States Fish and Wildlife Service is investigating the matter.
