A basketball star Duke can be negotiated if his current situation does not improve.
Things are relatively calm in the NBA trading market after the blockbuster that sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets, and East Conference favorites could be the next destination for a former basketball legend Duke.
Charania’s Shams The Athletic reported last week that the New Orleans Pelicans were open to dealing with longtime veteran JJ Redick, as well as point guard Lonzo Ball ahead of the NBA negotiation deadline, and now the NBA insider is following up on his report.
Charania said the Pelicans are focusing on teams from the northeast, specifically the Nets, Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers, to send Redick if they want to switch.

Redick’s family currently lives in Brooklyn, New York, and it is rumored that joining the Nets would be their ideal destination.
The former Blue Devil, a native of Tennessee, did not resign from Philadelphia after the 2018-19 season and struck a deal with the Pelicans in the off-season.
JJ Redick spent two seasons with the 76ers, averaging 17.6 points per game over two seasons in the city of Brotherly Love.

Redick is on his way to establishing a series of dubious highs or lows this season, as he averages just 7.9 points per game, his lowest production since he averaged 9.6 points per game with Orlando Magic in its fourth NBA season.
The three-point shooter is also shooting at a terrible 29.8 percent from downtown, his worst percentage of pitches since the 2012-13 season, when he spent time with the Magic and Milwaukee Bucks.

JJ Redick has not played in the last two games for New Orleans, a win over the Bucks and a loss to the Houston Rockets on consecutive nights, despite not being on the injury report.
The New Orleans Pelicans return to the court on Monday, February 1, against the Sacramento Kings (20:00 EST).
