About two hours before the scheduled denunciation, Monday night’s men’s basketball game between Miami and North Carolina at Chapel Hill was postponed, the ACC announced.

A source told ESPN that the video and the league’s decision to postpone the game, scheduled to start at 7 pm, are connected. Andy Fledderjohann, a spokesman for the league, referred to the ACC’s statement when asked whether the video influenced the decision. He also said that the ACC does not “have more information to provide”.
“The postponement follows a meeting of officials from both schools, who mutually concluded that the game could not progress today,” said the league statement.
In the brief video, Sharpe and Bacot, who scored 27 points in the victory over their main rivals on Saturday, are shown talking to several people in a room while a song plays in the background.
The ACC’s health and safety protocols list several reasons for postponing a game, including “inability to perform proper contact tracking consistent with government requirements or recommendations” and “inability to isolate new positive cases, or to quarantine them high risk cases of university students’ contact while traveling and at home.
