Balan Wonderworld is getting a patch from the first day to respond to the demo comments

Balan Wonderworld

In January, Switch owners were able to download a demo of Balan Wonderworld, Square Enix’s next 3D platform game run by Sonic leader Yuji Naka. Unfortunately, despite the hype surrounding the game up to that point, the demo didn’t exactly impress.

However, all is not lost, as the game’s producer, Noriyoshi Fujimoto, detailed a patch from the first day that will aim to resolve some of the feedback received from players who have experienced the demo. Here’s what Fujimoto has to say:

“Staying true to the nature of Balan’s Wonderland, I would like us to follow in the footsteps of the enigmatic conductor Balan and find balance in our own hearts. Especially when it comes to responding to the comments we received from our demonstration.

There was a wide variety of opinions and responses to the demo and, unfortunately, at the current stage of development, it is simply not feasible to reflect all comments in the game. However, in order to offer everyone a more balanced gaming experience, we will implement a patch from the first day for the full game.

Specifically, this patch will adjust the controls for movement, camera movement and rebalancing the difficulty. It’s just over a week to launch now, so I hope you all enjoy the world of Wonderworld as much as you want! “

His words come from a new blog post shared on the Square Enix website, which also provides a recap of the main themes of the game, in case you need to remember.

“On the surface, Balan Wonderworld is a magical platform game set in 12 colorful worlds, born from the hearts of different people. In these worlds, players must make full use of more than 80 different costumes and their diverse abilities to overcome obstacles, heads and enemies and finally restore happiness back to the world of wonders. “
