Authorities in Virginia Beach, Virginia, identified the two people killed and three people arrested in connection with three separate shootings Friday night in the city’s waterfront area.
Among the dead are Deshayla Harris, 29, of Norfolk, who appeared on the 17th season of the reality show “Bad Girls Club”, according to a report.
The other fatality was identified as Donovon Lynch, 25, of Virginia Beach, reported WAVY-TV in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Police said Harris was a spectator during the night’s second shooting, which took place along 19th Street.
Lynch was killed during a confrontation with a uniformed Virginia Beach police officer, according to WAVY.
Eight other people were injured during the night’s shooting, the report said.
The police also arrested three men. They were identified as Ahmon Jahree Adams, 22, of Chesapeake; Nyquez Tyyon Baker, 18, of Virginia Beach; and Devon Maurice Dorsey Jr., 20, of Virginia Beach, according to WAVY.

All three men were linked to the first shooting of the night, which resulted in no deaths, the station reported. Each was charged with seven counts of criminal assault, use of a firearm in committing a crime and reckless handling of a firearm, the report said.

The suspects were being held at the Virginia Beach City Jail, pending further legal action.
Virginia Beach police said they expected to increase their presence in the city by the end of the weekend in response to Friday’s shootings.
According to TMZ, Harris appeared on the “Bad Girls Club” season, entitled “East Meets West”. His nickname during the appearance was “The Firecracker Fashionista”.
Harris’ time on the series included a fight with another cast member named Francesca, TMZ reported.
Several of Harris’ co-stars posted condolences on social media after learning of his death.
Before losing her life, Harris posted an Instagram video on Friday that seemed to show her enjoying a night in Norfolk, a short distance from where she was killed in Virginia Beach, TMZ reported.

At least two other members of the “Bad Girls Club” cast died prematurely, both in 2020.
Last December, cast member Whitney Collings, 33, who appeared in Season 3, died for reasons that were not immediately clear at the time.
Last July, season 8 cast member Demitra ‘Mimi’ Roche, 34, also died of causes that were not immediately reported.
