AVX joins the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance
FOUNTAIN INN, SC, February 25, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – AVX Corporation, a leading manufacturer and supplier of advanced electronic components and interconnect, sensor, control and antenna solutions, has joined the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA), the state’s leading industrial trade association designed to promote manufacturing in South Carolina. Comprising more than 200 manufacturing companies representing more than 80,000 associates in South Carolina, SCMA defends its members working to promote relevant public policies, address challenges and provide services that help manufacturers create jobs and strengthen the state’s economy. In pursuit of these goals, SCMA works closely with state legislators, officials and agencies on issues affecting the manufacturing industries, including workforce and education, taxes and economic development, environment, energy, infrastructure, legal reform and employment .
As a member of SCMA, AVX will have access to a variety of relevant, informative and educational conferences, meetings, programs, services, events and resources designed specifically to meet the needs and interests of manufacturers with respect to various key areas of the regional and the importance of industry, including human resources, workforce development, security, the environment, taxes and economic development, energy, and legislative and government affairs.
