Cribb noted that the social media giant rejected the request of its publisher, Republic Book Publishers, to advertise the book “Old Abe” on Facebook and also rejected the appeal.
He said that in December Republic Book Publishers “decided to make some social media ads and they made some really good ads and sent them to Facebook and Facebook refused and we appealed and Facebook said no.”
Cribb said he was informed that Facebook’s reasoning is “that this announcement apparently, according to Facebook, violates the ban on social and political issues and the election, which was implemented shortly before the presidential election”.
Facebook did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment.
On Thursday, Cribb noted, “This is the kind of collateral damage you get when these Big Tech giants make these comprehensive rules that affect millions and millions of people about what can and cannot be said in public. “.
