Auburn Tank Bigsby will not play in the Citrus Bowl

Auburn’s attack will no longer have one of its best players when the Tigers face Northwestern at the Citrus Bowl on Friday.

Tank Bigsby will not be available to play in the game, sources told AL.com.

Bigsby ran for 834 yards and five touchdowns this season.

With Bigsby out, Shaun Shivers and DJ Williams are expected to lead the Tigers’ racing game.

In addition to Bigsby, Auburn will also have no other important players, such as wide receiver Anthony Schwartz, cornerback Roger McCreary and nickel back Christian Tutt.

On a positive note for the Tigers, however, safety Jamien Sherwood – who originally was supposed to be out of the game – should now play, according to sources.
