Atomic Heart GeForce RTX trailer shows stunning visuals and intense action

It’s been a while since we have a new Atomic Heart trailer, but the folks at NVIDIA have provided a new look at the game with GeForce RTX. Atomic Heart originally made headlines as one of the first indie games to promise to make use of NVIDIA’s then-new ray tracing and DLSS technology, with the first footage focusing heavily on flashy RTX reflections, but this new footage looks a little different. It seems that Atomic Heart developer Mundfish started to focus more on lighting and shadows traced by rays – of course, the reflections are still there, but overall, this trailer has a darker and moodier feel. But don’t worry, there are still a lot of strange images and intense action on display. Check out the new trailer below.

Looks good! Need to know more? Here is a brief description of the history of the Atomic Heart.

The game starts when robots start attacking people. [The game’s protagonist] P-3 will have to investigate what caused all these events and deal with what (or who?) Is behind all this.

Also, check out our recent questions and answers with the Atomic Heart developers, in which they detail your close working relationship with NVIDIA …

We are working closely with NVIDIA to create the most beautiful gaming world you have ever seen. The solutions that we showed earlier are reflections and shadows of traced radius. They stay for sure. We are currently working on implementing DLSS and other features recently made possible by RTX and DX12. We are intrigued to try out more features, but players will still be able to play Atomic Heart on non-RTX hardware.

The Atomic Heart was announced for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PS4 and PS5. The game currently does not have a launch window, and Mundfish said he does not want to deliver a “half-baked” product. Fingers crossed, we will have more information soon.
