The new service, which uses Plume’s cloud-based artificial intelligence (AI) technology and is accessed through the WiFi Your Way app, features:
- AdaptTM learns continuously and proactively self-optimizes to provide greater speed and coverage throughout the home.
- To controlTM provides intuitive tools for personalization, allowing the user to define access controls for guests and children (including age-appropriate content filters).
- Quick test features are integrated so customers can easily monitor Internet speed and performance.
- GuardTM offers the best online security in its class, with AI technology that detects and protects in real time. The system stops suspicious activity, blocks ads and malware and quarantines all compromised devices.
- SenseTM uses Wi-Fi connected devices to provide real-time motion detection throughout the home for peace of mind and, among many use cases, provides alerts if there is movement when a customer is away from home.
The WiFi Your Way app (for iOS and Android devices) guides customers through an easy automatic installation of SuperPods, which connect to a wall outlet to provide super fast coverage throughout the home. SuperPods work with any Atlantic Broadband gateway or modem. Customers rent SuperPods instead of buying them, keeping initial costs low for customers.
