At least 26 shots fired at N. Portland; hit vehicles

Three cars were hit by gunfire Friday night in North Portland, police said.

Portland police responded to reports of gunshots fired in the North Williams Avenue and Monroe Street area in the Eliot neighborhood at 11:25 pm

Officers found a white Dodge Magnum with bullet marks colliding with three unoccupied parked cars. Two of the cars and a company were also shot.

At least 26 shots were fired, police said.

The woman who ran the Dodge was close and unharmed, police said. It is not clear why his car was “apparently shot,” police said.

The incident is under investigation. No arrests were made.
