Assistant Panthers coach, hired by South Carolina

The Carolina Panthers’ technical team is apparently a hot commodity. Offensive coordinator Joe Brady completed interviews with three NFL teams for their positions as head coach, and three offensive assistants have already been hired by prominent university programs.

According to Charlotte Observer’s Alaina Getzenberg, offensive line assistant coach Marcus Satterfield was hired by South Carolina to serve as the offensive coordinator. Quarterback coach Jake Peetz and offensive assistant DJ Mangas were also hired by LSU.

It is difficult to say how much credit Satterfield can receive, but the Panthers’ offensive line looked much better this season than 2019. However, the unit could undergo a dramatic change in this off-season.

Four starting players (right Taylor Moton, left Russel Okung, right John Miller and left Chris Reed) are ready to become free agents in March, as well as reserve OL Tyler Larsen, Michael Schofield and Trent Scott.
