The yule festival may be over, but the season still has some new work for Eivor. The new River Raid game mode from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be released tomorrow in the next title update, which aims to add some repeatable invasion missions to keep you and your Jomsvikings busy this winter.
River attacks are coming as part of Valhalla’s title update 1.1.2 as a free update. “Prepare your Jomsviking crew for this new highly reproducible mode that will take you to unexplored regions of England, which is full of opportunities for invasion,” they say. “New looting, rewards and challenges await the Raven Clan.”
Alice B called Valhalla’s attacks fun in her critique of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, saying “You and your friends run screaming, hitting people with heavy batons and trying to take as much ground as possible. Combat is fast and many sometimes confused, blocking and avoiding feedback and receiving more importance than ever. You have the option to mix and match your main hand and your starting hand with whatever weapons you want. “So it looks like more of this is welcome.
Also in the 1.1.2 title update are several new skills and abilities, such as a trapped arrow or the ability to automatically carry a body after a successful murder. Discard the evidence even faster, not wasting time bending over, right?
The attacks on the river are part of Ubisoft’s post-launch plans for Valhalla, which you can recall in the trailer above. More free title updates are planned this year.
You can find the rest of the updates and bug fixes in the Ubisoft patch notes for the update. It is about 18 GB for PC gamers and is due to be released around midday GMT (7am EST) tomorrow, February 16th.
