Last month, Microsoft Flight Simulator The developer Asobo Studio released an update that made the program compatible with most virtual reality headsets. One of the improvements launched with it is the coverage of snow and ice for Flight simulator Live Weather feature, which can make flying over virtual landscapes even more realistic. Now the developer has shown what the enhancement can do as part of the New Year’s greeting and can certainly make the program’s environments impressive.
The video, captured in 4K, shows what maps you might have seen before would look like when covered with snow. You are expected to see snow-capped mountains, thin trees and floating ice sheets, depending on where you are. And as it is in real time, the amount of white you see changes – you can enjoy flying over the same locations over and over to see what they look at different times.
