Ashley Graham is celebrating her son’s first birthday, recalling the moments before he was born. In her Instagram stories yesterday, January 27, the supermodel shared memories from December 19, 2019 until January 18, 2020, the day she and her husband Justin Ervin welcomed their first baby, Isaac Menelik Giovanni Ervin.

The first souvenir photo, from December 19, 2019, shows Graham doing a pose at home with his eight-month pregnant belly on full display. Then, later that day, we can see the model at work, this time posing for a professional photo shoot. Graham jumps to December 27, 2019, showing his tummy decorated with a sketch of how his baby is positioned inside. “He’s so cute! So crazy,” she says in the video as she zooms in on her stomach.

Her next photo – which shows Graham sprawled on the couch – does not include words or context, but we are sure that all pregnant mothers can identify themselves.

Advancing to January 2020, showing images of her belly, including one of her belly marked “10M!” which caused a lot of confusion at the time, making Instagram followers think she was 10 months pregnant, when in fact she was celebrating 10 million followers.

A January 10 memory showed Graham experimenting with acupuncture as a natural way to induce labor. “I love acupuncture, but it was so painful! … and it didn’t work,” she wrote.

From a January 18 memory, the day she went into labor, Graham apparently “went to breakfast with total contractions going on” – and she did it in style, showing off her new Ivy Park hat, courtesy of Beyoncé .

A few hours later, however, Graham was giving birth with the help of the Heart Science Midwifery.

The model ended the trip down memory lane with a photo of Ervin, her new son, and herself lying on the bed.

“Six hours of wild, intense contractions and the worst pain of my life afterwards – we met our beautiful son !!!” she wrote.
