Armie Hammer’s ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers is “horrified” by the latest allegation of sexual assault on her husband, actor.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesman told Fox News on Thursday that Hammer is “the prime suspect in an alleged sexual assault investigation that began on February 3 this year.” The news of the investigation comes after a woman accused Hammer of rape and physical abuse. Hammer denied both charges.

A source told Entertainment Tonight that Chambers, 38, is focusing on his children in the middle of the investigation.

“Elizabeth is horrified to hear the latest accusations against Armie. Her number one priority is her children and she wants to make sure her children feel loved and cared for during all of this,” said the source.

The couple share two children – daughter Harper, 6, and a son Ford, 4. They separated in July 2020, after 10 years of marriage.

On Thursday, lawyer Gloria Allred gave a press conference during which she alleged that the 34-year-old actor raped his client on April 24, 2017 in Los Angeles, California.

“He repeatedly hit my head against a wall, hurting my face. He also committed other acts of violence against me, which I did not consent to, ”she claimed.

The woman says the attack lasted more than four hours and she tried to escape “but he wouldn’t let me”. She also claimed that Hammer abused her “mentally, emotionally and sexually” during the 2016-2020 relationship, after meeting him on Facebook.

“He got more and more violent,” said the woman, now 24. “I thought he was going to kill me … He then left without worrying about my well-being.”

She said that after the alleged attack she was “traumatized” and “emotionally distressed and lost interest in living”.

Hammer, through his lawyer, denied the charges in a statement to Fox News.

“[The woman’s] the correspondence with Mr. Hammer itself undermines and refutes his outrageous accusations. Recently, on July 18, 2020, [the woman] sent graphic texts to Mr. Hammer telling him what she wanted him to do with her. Hammer’s lawyer also claims that the star has “hundreds” of images that the woman sent him about the nature of their relationships.

The lawyer shared an alleged quote from a woman’s Instagram story, allegedly saying “I am not saying he raped me, there is no need for a legal representative.”

Allred told Fox News: “I challenge Armie Hammer to present all of his communications, not some [the woman] to the Los Angeles Police Department and answer all of your questions directly, not through your lawyers. “
