Armie Hammer moved away from her role alongside Jennifer Lopez in the next feature film Forced marriage, confirmed a spokesman for the production. O Rebecca the role of the star will be reshaped.
“Given the imminent start date of Forced marriage, Armie asked to stay away from the film and we support him in his decision ”, the spokesman confirmed Variety.
Hammer was involved in a social media scandal over the weekend after alleged direct messages emerged that alluded to the actor’s misconduct. Some of the actor’s messages, which seemed seductive, even mentioned cannibalism.
The messages, according to Page Six, were leaked by an anonymous social media account called House of Effie. In them, Hammer seemed to be outlining some graphic sexual fantasies.
“I am not responding to these bulls ** t claims, but in light of the wicked and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot, in good conscience, leave my children for four months to make a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I am grateful to them for that, ”said Hammer in a statement.
Hammer also has some future film projects, including The billion dollar spy, as well as a planned sequence for Call me by your name. Hammer received the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the 2017 feature film about two young men who fell in love in northern Italy in the 1980s.
The 34-year-old actor has spoken publicly about his sexual tendencies in the past. In 2013, he gave an interview to Playboy where he described himself as a “dominant lover”.
“I liked to grab the neck and the hair and all that. But then you get married and your sexual appetites change, “he said, referring to his now estranged wife, Elizabeth Chambers.” And I say this for the better – it’s not like I’m suffering in any way. But you can’t really pull your wife’s hair.
“There comes a point where you say, ‘I respect you too much to do these things that I kind of want to do.'”
The social network Star later blamed the quote for drinking too much. “Let’s say the retrospective is 20/20,” Hammer told E! News. “Don’t drink during an interview.”
