Armed men accused of murder in daylight shooting in the Bronx

Two armed men were charged with murder on Sunday for allegedly killing a man in a wild shooting in the Bronx that prompted police to open fire, officials said.

Kejaun Dehaney, 22, from Pennsylvania, and Hassan Maxwell, 32, a Bronx resident, are accused of shooting on Saturday at the intersection of Findlay Avenue and East 166th in Concourse Village at 6:30 pm, leaving a man dead, said the police.

Three uniformed officers in the area opened fire to prevent the shooting, injuring one of the suspects, police said.

During the shooting, a stray bullet hit an innocent passer in the arm, police said.

It was not clear whose bullet hit the viewer. None of the officers involved were injured, the police said.

The police did not immediately disclose the identity of the fatal victim of the shooting.
