Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray returns after ankle injury against the Los Angeles Rams

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray returned to Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams at the start of the fourth period after leaving early in the first period with an injury to his right ankle.

Reserve Chris Streveler took over from Murray until he returned with 14:25 left in the game, with the Cardinals losing 18-7.

Murray left the game after suffering a sack injury from Rams striker Morgan Fox with 12:14 left from the first. Murray hobbled to his feet and went straight to the locker room. He finally returned to the field, tried to get rid of the injury and was evaluated in the blue injury tent, but returned to the locker room.

Murray had his left ankle resurfaced and warmed up after returning to the sideline, but did not play again until the fourth period.

Murray spent time in and out of the locker room during the first half and early third quarter. Streveler took over from Murray and gave a touchdown on his first attempt, but the attack did not produce much further.

Murray suffered a “leg” injury, according to coach Kliff Kingsbury, in the closing seconds of last week’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers and said this week he was “feeling good”.
