Japanese video game developer and publisher Arika has announced that it will launch EX combat layer: another trait on the Nintendo Switch in 2021.
The original version of this title was first released on PlayStation 4 in 2018 and has since been transferred to several other devices. It is considered a spiritual sequence of Combat Layer (1998), as well as the Street Fighter EX series (1996).
Arika says Another Dash will be “different” from the existing version of Fighting EX Layer. Characters have been adjusted, moves revised and new fighting systems put in place. This also includes different network code.
Here’s an explanation, courtesy of Gematsu:
“EX combat layer: another trait uses backward interrupt network code based on delay network code. Since the entry delay is disguised as variable frames for several frames, in cases of extreme delays, the character’s position can be corrected. Sometime after launch, Arika hopes to replace the network code with the “The Best of Both Games” network code, which is currently in testing and is based on reversion netcode.
More information about Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash for Nintendo Switch will be shared on April 1st.
