Are the Detroit Lions ready to embrace Jared Goff as their QB franchise?

Detroit Lions is set to have a new man under the center and acting as the face of the franchise in Jared Goff. Although there was initially speculation that Lions made the switch despite Jared Goff and may consider transferring him, the evidence suggested that Lions are embracing him with open arms. Dan Campbell & Co. hope that Goff can be his rock as a defender, at least for the next two years.

Question of the day: Are you ready to embrace Jared Goff as your QB franchise?

My answer: I don’t think we have a choice. Regardless, it is a yes.

I think the good thing about Jared Goff is that he brings hope. There is not much to hope for in the near future: the defense is only slightly better than the local junior varsity, and Lions have a wide receiver on their 53-player roster under contract.

Jared Goff was once a rookie who led his team to the Super Bowl. Yes, he had a good supporting cast. Yes, he has regressed since then. However, he succeeded. Seeing the level at which he is capable of playing inspires hope that perhaps Lions can at least be competitive in games this season, even if their record suggests otherwise.

Your turn.
