Arc System Works actually gave Leo a capture command immersed in Guilty Gear Strive to make blocking him even more frightening than it was before

It pretty much retains everything else too

Anyone who fought a strong Leo player in Guilty Gear Xrd probably still wakes up sweating at night about trying to block a king’s wild beast, and the developers are apparently doubling that part of their gameplay.

Arc System Works has now released the initial guide for Leo Whitefang as it will appear in Guilty Gear Strive, and they apparently made his back position even better than in the previous game.

Unlike Ramlethal, who had practically all of his specials changed in Strive, Leo remains basically the same in his moveset with his multi-hit fireball, invincible reversal and more at his disposal.

The biggest difference seems to be that their Kaltes Gestöber Erst rekka attacks were divided into their own specials while receiving the new Turbulenz ground blast special during their Siegesparade de Xrd.

None of this really matters as much as Leo’s Glanzendes Dunkel command claw that he can use in his Brynhildr stance, so now his opponents will need to guess which way to block and if a big old pitch is coming in to literally bury them.

We will soon see in the beta whether Leo is better at trying to attack the enemy, but if / when he succeeds, good luck to those looking at him.
