Apple’s iPhone 13 may finally have a revolutionary feature

The dust barely settled on the iPhone 12 line, which fell last month, but rumors about Apple’s next smartphone are already spreading. And if the latest leaks are the basis for the iPhone 13, the company can finally make the design change fans are asking for.

According to a Chinese technology website, Apple has finally found a way to reduce the infamous notch on the iPhone’s screen, which houses the front camera. Many see the notch as a pest in the supposedly full-screen design of the iPhone – and while the iPhone 12 may be one of our best camera phones, most users would not say no to a smaller notch.

DigiTimes says Apple plans to reduce the size of the chip it uses for the iPhone 13’s front camera, meaning it will be able to optimize the size of the notch itself. The notch hasn’t changed in size since it arrived on the iPhone X 2017, but it looks like we could finally be approaching a genuinely end-to-end screen.

For creatives using any of the best apps for graphic designers, the benefits of a smaller notch are obvious. Anything that turns the iPhone screen into an even bigger digital screen can only be a good thing – and with the iPhone 12 Pro already with an amazing camera, an end-to-end screen can be great news for photographers and video editors in motion .

As with all Apple rumors, this one needs to be taken with a good pinch of salt – but if the recent leaks are true, next year’s iPhone is looking very exciting. From the inclusion of a 120 Hz screen to revolutionary battery technology, it seems that the iPhone 13 can leave the already shiny iPhone 12 in the dust.
