Applebee’s new virtual kitchen sells Cheetos flavored wings

Applebee’s will host yet another virtual kitchen.

On Wednesday, Dine Brands – owner of Applebee’s and IHOP – announced the launch of its newest venture, Cosmic Wings.

The virtual wing restaurant – which will operate with more than 1,300 Applebee’s kitchens – is available to order for delivery only at Uber Eats starting on Wednesday, according to the announcement.

The wing chain’s menu includes conventional items such as traditional wings, boneless wings, fried waffles, onion rings and breaded chicken.

Cosmic Wings ‘specialties, however, are its Cheetos-inspired items, including traditional and boneless wings, cooked in the original Cheetos sauce or Flamin’ Hot Cheetos sauce.

According to the announcement, the wing sauces – made with Cheetos crumbs – are exclusive to Cosmic Wings.

“We are excited to partner with Cosmic Wings to delight our fans across the country with this new way to enjoy the characteristic flavor of Cheetos,” said Jessica Spaulding, senior director of marketing for Frito-Lay North America, in a statement . “When you combine the beloved flavors of Cheetos with everyone’s favorite appetizer, you get the ultimate combination.”

To celebrate its launch, Cosmic Wings is offering a $ 0 delivery fee on all orders of $ 15 or more for the rest of the month, until February 28th.

Cosmic Wings is not the first virtual restaurant to operate outside Applebee’s kitchens. Last May, Dine Brands launched another virtual concept, Neighborhood Wings by Applebee’s, Forbes reported.

However, with the launch of Cosmic Wings, Neighborhood Wings is ending, the magazine reported.
