Apple warns against placing an iPhone 12 too close to your pacemaker

You probably don’t need someone to tell you that life-saving magnets and medical devices don’t mix, but Apple wants to make that very clear. MacRumors I heard that Apple recently updated a support document to warn against keeping the iPhone 12 and MagSafe accessories too close to pacemakers, defibrillators and other implants that can respond to magnets and radios. You should keep them at least 6 inches apart in regular use or at least 1 inch away if your iPhone is charging wirelessly.

The company said the extra number of magnets should not increase the risks compared to previous iPhone models. Even so, the announcement comes days after doctors say the new phones can interfere with implants. In one test, they found that an iPhone 12 put a defibrillator implant in a suspended state when he approached.
