Apple updating subscription sheet on iOS 14.5 with clearer pricing and test information

Last week, we shared a concept that explored ways in which Apple could improve the subscription sheet on iOS to help customers better understand what they are subscribing to. Problems with the application sheet have been a hot topic recently among the community. But tonight, the developer behind Launch Center Pro, David Barnard pointed out that in the last beta of iOS 14.5 Apple started making some changes to improve the experience.

The changes are subtle, but they will certainly have an impact on subscriber subscriptions. Apple made the entire text of the sheet more readable and updated the language to be clearer to the customer. The first and one of the biggest changes in the spreadsheet is the replacement of the word mark “App Store” by “Pay” so that it is clear to the customer that he is buying something.

The signature name formatting has also been updated. It is no longer in capital letters, but in a normal case. Just below it, you can see that they have increased the size of the policy text. It is much easier to read and right in your face now.

The most important changes, however, come in the lower section of the sheet. First, the explanation of the free trial was made much more succinctly. He uses simple English to say, see you have “3 days free” in the case of the images below. It is much better than the way it is currently on iOS 14.4, with a small text that separates the test name from the “Free” label. Apple has also substantially increased the size of the price and placed it directly above the confirmation animation. As with the free trial text, they also changed “$ X / week” to “$ X per week”.
