Apple Plus launches Mythic Quest season 2 trailer

Apple TV Plus’ fans Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet can now check out the first trailer for its second season, which opens in May, Apple announced Friday. Created by It’s always sunny in Philadelphia cohort (Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz), the workplace sitcom follows a game development studio that makes an online RPG.

In the teaser trailer for season 2, Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), the newly promoted co-director of the studio, and fellow director Ian (Rob McElhenney) sit down to brainstorm ideas for the game’s new expansion. The interaction is … strange, as they discover what new content for the game could look like.

Here is the complete synopsis of Apple’s 2nd season:

With the quarantine finally over, the second season of “Mythic Quest” finds everyone back in the office (well, almost everyone), trying to build on the success of Raven’s Feast when launching a new epic expansion, but Ian (Rob McElhenney) and newly promoted co-creative director Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao) struggle with the game’s direction. Meanwhile, CW (F. Murray Abraham) reconciles some unsolved problems from his past, testers (Ashly Burch and Imani Hakim) test the limits of an office romance, and David (David Hornsby) loses another woman in his life as Jo (Jessie Ennis) leaves him to help Brad (Danny Pudi).

The last time we saw Mythic Quest it was an episode inspired by a special pandemic in May 2020, “Mythic Quest: Quarantine”, which the cast filmed totally isolated from their homes. The second season occurs after the pandemic, with everyone back in the office.

Last year, Polygon spoke to Nicdao to talk about his role in the program. In the interview, she shared that she felt that the cast found their way in season 1, but that “it is very exciting to feel that we are reaching season 2, and everyone has that confidence and really knows what we are doing. “

2nd season Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet will debut on May 7 on Apple TV Plus.
