IPad fans should mark March 16 on their calendars. Apple will reveal faster models of the iPad Pro, a significantly redesigned iPad mini and AirTags item location trackers at an event on that date.
Previous leaks have already revealed many details about these upcoming devices. Now Korean Economic Daily News reports that Apple will remove the wraps for these products on March 16. It is expected to be a virtual event broadcast to the public.
The publication’s sources are just Twitter posts, but this is at least a reasonable assumption. Apple unveiled the 2020 iPad Pro series on March 18, for example. That said, similar events came later on the calendar in previous years. In 2019, the date was March 25. And in 2018, Apple chose March 27.
New iPads at the Apple March event. And AirTags.
The highlight of the Apple March event will almost certainly be the iPad Pro 2021 series. Countless sources say these tablets will arrive that month.
It is not expected to be a complete redesign. However, the updated tablet may have a mini-LED screen, improving the look of the screen. And the series will likely include the first iPad 5G. Tablets may also come with additional integrated magnets for new accessories.
Smaller tablet fans should keep an eye out for the iPad mini 2020, which can undergo dramatic changes. The display bezels can shrink significantly, supposedly allowing the display to enlarge to more than 9 inches.
One “more thing” preached at the end of the Apple March event could be AirTags. Rumors about these item trackers have been circulating since 2019, but they may be about to be released. Supposedly, you’ll be able to attach an AirTag to a keychain or bag, and an iPhone will easily track the device if it gets lost.
