Apple has quietly launched a new mentoring program aimed at first-generation college students studying accounting and economics. It includes support from Apple employees and the possibility of tracking jobs and even paid internships. The new program starts in early 2021 and registration is now open.
Identified by MyHealthApple, the new university guidance program has some notable requirements. To be eligible to apply, you need to be a freshman or second-generation first-year college student, as well as to study accounting, economics or finance.

Launch places students individually with Apple mentors and offers resources and opportunities for personal and professional growth. The launch will focus on the essentials to manage and excel at school and at work. Opportunities for tracking jobs, paid internships and paid internships may also be available for Launch participants.
Apple engineer Logan Kilpatrick tweeted about the new opportunity just before Christmas. The image below includes all the details you need to make sure you are qualified and everything you need to include in your application (until January 8, 2021).
It is not entirely clear, but this may be part of or related to Apple’s $ 100 million efforts in Racial Justice and Equity.
