Apple again extends Apple TV + free trials, subscribers now have free access until July 2021

Apple is again extending the free trial to Apple TV + 1 year of free trials provided with the hardware. With the latest announcement, anyone with an Apple TV + subscription that was set to expire from now until June will expire in July 2021.

This means that customers who took advantage of the ‘free year’ deal when the service first launched will now have an additional 9 months of free access to original Apple programs and movies.

The first TV + extension was announced in October and pushed the first wave of free trial renewals for February. The new extension means that anyone who has not yet canceled their subscription will now be able to use it free of charge for another six months.

All current customers with free trials set to end in the period from February to June will now see these subscription renewals postponed to July. Likewise, customers with an annual subscription that expires between February and June will also have the same additional months of service at no additional cost.

Apple will notify all eligible customers of the extension by email in the coming weeks. As of the last time, the company will compensate existing subscribers with credit refunds as follows.

All paying subscribers to the Apple TV + monthly plan starting today, January 15th, will receive $ 4.99 in-store credit for the period from February to June, offsetting the cost of their subscription. The same is true for people who currently pay for the subscription to the Apple One package.

The second round of extensions gives Apple more time to expand the Apple TV + content offering and increase the value proposition of the service, as the company launches major new series and movies, as well as second seasons of its popular launch programs. .

Upcoming titles include the long-awaited film ‘Cherry’, starring Tom Holland, the second season of For All Mankind and more. You can see the roadmap announced for Apple TV + content in our complete guide here.
