Apex Legends Season 9 will have “a ton” of Titanfall content

The Respawn developers revealed in a new stream that Apex Legends Season 9 will include “a ton” of content from their spiritual predecessor, Titanfall.

The wild series of sci-fi snipers Titanfall is fondly remembered by FPS fans and, if you’ve played, the similarities are easy to spot when entering an Apex Legends round.

Both battle royale and FPS are made by Respawn and set in the same universe. But, according to the developers, Apex is about to get a lot more content than ever from Titanfall in season 9.

During a panel with several Respawn developers hosted by BrownGirlGamerCode, Apex senior editor Ashley Reed spoke more about the relationship between the two games and how they would incorporate Titanfall into Apex going forward.

“What is happening in Titanfall is a war, Apex is what happens after the war, what is life like in this place?” Reed explained. “So, we are trying to integrate Titanfall into this, because Titanfall is a part of the universe.”

We have already seen some parallels between the two games, for example, several weapons of Titanfall are presented in the Apex, and who can forget the huge Leviathans (also known as Moyais) towering over the Battle Royale?

What Titanfall content already has seems to be the tip of the iceberg, as Apex Legends game director Chad Grenier promised “a ton” in season 9.

“In the next season, season 9, you’ll really see a ton of Titanfall coming back into the game, one way or another,” suggested Grenier.

“I told some people before, if you’re a fan of Titanfall, wait for season 9 because there are going to be really cool things there.

Obviously, Grenier did not elaborate on what will come our way next season. So, except for leaks or new information, we’ll have to wait and see what Titanfall fans should be so excited about when Respawn officially announces it.

Based on the reported Blisk leaks, it may be larger than anyone expected.
