Apex Legends reaches a new peak of simultaneous users on Steam • Eurogamer.net

Apex Legends has reached a new peak of simultaneous users on Steam.

The free-to-play Battle Royale game – released on Steam in November 2020 after almost 18 months as an EA Origin exclusive – reached 198,235 concurrent players on Steam yesterday, its biggest peak of concurrent users according to SteamDB (thanks, Dexerto ).

The recent increase in new and old players checking out Season 8 means that Apex Legends is currently the fifth most played game on Steam, making it more popular than GTA 5, Rainbow Six Siege and Team Fortress 2.

It is also among the ten most watched games on Twitch, which means that more people are watching Apex Legends than FIFA 21, CS: GO and Valheim.

Main Caustics in Apex Legends? I have bad news – developer Respawn recently said that the popular Legend “will receive some attention in the near future”.

For some time, Caustic was one of those legends in the squad that players rarely spent much quality time with, but after recent adjustments and buffs, he now has the highest win rate in games that last more than 20 minutes and started to dominate the matches.

The news came a few days after Wraith, the fan favorite, increased the size of her hitbox. As explained in the season 8 patch notes, Respawn hopes to control Wraith’s power without loathing his abilities, and one way to do that is by changing his hitbox.
