Apex Legends launches on Nintendo Switch in March

Update: We have confirmation:

Original Story [Sat 30th Jan, 2021 06:00 GMT]: According to a recent YouTube video and an Amazon list, Respawn Entertainment’s free-to-play battle royale game Apex Legends is coming up next month, on February 2nd.

Although there is still no official confirmation from EA, game director Chad Grenier has now answered a question on Twitter – asking when the Switch version of the game will be released. Apparently, Nintendo fans can expect news soon. Here is the complete exchange:

Apex Legends was originally scheduled to be released on the Switch last year, until Respawn decided to postpone the game in October. Grenier said this was to ensure that the team did the “justice” version of the Switch.

There is also some news about the Japanese retail launch via GoNintendo. Unsurprisingly, it is full of “digital only” content and does not include a game card.

If Apex Legends arrives next week, at this rate, could be a surprise drop in the eShop. Will you check this free-to-play title whenever it falls? Comment below.
