Apex Legends Fight Night event patch notes

It’s been a great couple of weeks for Apex Legends‘Pathfinder. Last week, the robot with hooks and hooks won a fantastic animated short about its origin story, and this week it will have its own in-game event. The new event is called Fight Night, and is bringing some boxing-themed twists to regular fights Apex Legends.

The biggest change in the Fight Night event will be the new limited-time mode called Airdrop Escalation. This new mode will be what developer Respawn Entertainment is calling “Takeover” mode, which means that it will replace the regular “Play Apex” mode for a limited time. For the most part, Airdrop Escalation will be the same as the normal Battle Royale, except that it will include many more airdrops, all with fully equipped weapons.

Each Airdrop Escalation match will begin with a few air launches scattered around the map, and with each round, several more will be launched from orbit onto the battlefield. Each of them will come with high quality items and weapons with all their accessories.

As for the more specific parts of the event’s Pathfinder, there is also Pathfinder’s Town Takeover, where players can enter a combat ring to face each other in hand-to-hand combat. Inside the ring, which is called the Ring on the map, players will only be able to use their fists as weapons, and no one can throw or throw grenades to interrupt combat. Whoever survives can take some extra items and leave the ring with their spoils.

Finally, the Fight Night event also includes some balance updates for Apex Legends, including a buff for Rampart and Caustic. There is also a great quality of life improvement that allows you to automatically use Ultimate Accelerants without opening your inventory. If your Ultimate is on hold, all you need to do now is press the button to activate it and your character will use an Ultimate Accelerator.

To take a look at all the changes that came with this patch, you can find the full notes below.

Apex Legends Fight Night event patch notes

Subtitles

Rampart

  • Extended coverage: Cooling time decreased from 30 seconds to 20 seconds

Caustic

  • Nox Gas Trap: Decreased cooling from 25 seconds to 20 seconds

Weapons

Hemlok

  • Damage decrease from 22 to 20

Mastiff

  • Spread the 3rd / 4th pellets to decrease the maximum range of 4 pellet beats (it was +/- 7.5 degrees, now +/- 10)

Prowler

  • Reserve markers increased from 175 to 210

Quality of life

  • Ultimate Accelerants can now be used without opening your inventory. If your ultimate is not currently available, simply press the button (or buttons on a controller) to activate it and you will remove any Accelerant stored in your inventory and use it automatically.
  • When in a lobby, if a party member leaves your lobby for any reason, all members of the group will be marked as “not ready”. This should prevent accidental throws in a match when your friend dodges for a second.
  • The legendary “Mark all as seen” button was added. Click here to remove the irritating red dots (I mean useful).
  • Pinging the nearest (spectator) respawn beacon will now always ping the nearest beacon, unless you don’t have enough time to use it before the ring closes on it, instead of defaulting to the nearest beacon on next safe ring.
  • Now we show how many treasure packs are needed to purchase the next comic page. This should just make it easier for people who are chasing new knowledge to know how far they are.
  • Caustic should now break the door with his heirloom hammer instead of his leg, if available.
  • We’ve added some information to the Find Friends box to describe a situation where your friend may not be found due to EA account settings.
