Apex Legends developers respond to Loba’s “broken” bracelet amid problems from season 8

An Octane principal created a simple buff for Adrenaline Junkie, which would take him to the upper echelons of the Apex Legends group of characters.

With Season 8 already underway, players are discovering themselves in the new POIs and goal. While the focus is on the eccentric Aussie Fuse, other characters are also constantly changing.

One is Octane, the Adrenaline Junkie originally added in season 1. While Octane is certainly not diminishing in the lower layers of Apex Legends characters, it is difficult to argue that he is anything more than a solid option in the game’s current goal.

Thus, fans of the speedster have considered buffing options in the event that Respawn seeks to strengthen it. One Redditor – ‘Toad_R’ – did just that, suggesting an improvement on Octane’s heel pads that proved immensely popular with fans.

Octane was released on Apex Legends almost two years ago, in March 2019.

The suggestion would give Octane players the option of preparing their launch pad to explode when used by an enemy. However, this option would only be available to Octanes if they were also carrying a grenade, something they lose in the act of manipulating the Launch Pad.

The player explains: “If you are manipulated, you lose that grenade, but throw a manipulated jump-pad. You and your teammates can use it normally, but if an enemy tries to use it, the Pad explodes in the process, giving the jump boost, but causing damage and being destroyed later. “

A justification was also given, with the player stating that, in his opinion, he fits with the Octane character, improves the versatility of his launch pad and reduces the likelihood of enemies chasing if an Octane attempts a quick escape.

Reddit's Octane Idea

The glossy idea, completely. It would probably be very boring to play against.

Unfortunately, Respawn chief game designer at Apex, Daniel Klein, asked why Octane would need a buff given his current state. After all, your jump pad has already received some major changes in the season 8 update.

As mentioned earlier, Octane is far from the best legend in the game, but he remains free of some of his weaker options, like Rampart.

It is fair to assume that Respawn will seek to buff the weakest before turning his attention to Octane.
