Apex Legends dev suggests highly requested changes to gold weapons

The goal of Apex Legends is constantly changing and it can be tempting to use Legends and dominated weapons. Sometimes, however, it is better to shake things up with some unconventional choices. Here, we’ve looked at five of the most underrated weapons you should be using.

Apex Legends Season 8 update brought a lot of exciting content to the real battle of Respawn. Not only is there a new Legend that changes the way players deal with combat, but there are also a lot of new changes to the Kings Canyon map. While using the best weapons in the game will certainly give you an advantage over your rivals, it will not always guarantee a victory.

Those who are willing to master a wide variety of weapons will generally be able to defeat any player who simply sticks to the goal. After all, each new update brings a wave of changes that bring certain weapons to the top level rankings. Although the weapons below may not be the best in their individual categories, they have great potential if you are willing to give them a chance.

L-STAR

The range of the L-STAR can be poor, but indoors, it absolutely shatters.

The L-STAR is one of the most exclusive weapons in Apex Legends, as it allows you to continue shooting while you are below the overheat limit. This means that you can maintain the pressure by simply firing in short bursts and having the necessary ammo reserves.

While the slow nature of its projectiles can be difficult to land during ranged combat, the L-STAR can do a short job for players in close combat, particularly if you hit the 36 × 2 headshot multiplier. Even shots in the body (18) and in the legs (14) do enough damage to quickly take an enemy out of the competition.

RE-45

This pistol can be fantastic when equipped with the Quickdraw holster.

The RE-45 is a weapon of little use in Apex Legends. While the addition of Round Hop Ups Disruptor took the pistol to new heights, the buff was eventually removed in season 3. Since then, the RE-45 has never regained popularity among the crowds that are looking to go with the goal and use only what is most likely to win.

Despite this, Season 7’s Quickdraw Holster makes it particularly useful, especially in early shootouts, where players are fighting for the best loot. With Quickdraw Holster equipped, the RE-45 can be raised and lowered faster, with reduced hip shot speed and reduced ADS time.

All of which means that the RE-45 is capable of taking down enemies quickly, so consider catching it if you need a reliable weapon early in the game.

EVA-8 Auto

This unlucky shotgun can wipe out even the most tanker of enemies.

The EVA-8 Auto is generally only used during the beginning of the game, when players are desperately struggling to loot. In fact, this shotgun is hardly seen during the middle to late shootouts. Instead, most players often equip the Mastiff or Peacekeeper when looking for these fights up close. The weapon is fully automatic, using shotgun shells that fire nine projectiles in the shape of the number eight.

With a 0% reduction in leg damage and a 10% drop in movement penalty when aimed, this shotgun is an underestimate that can be used. Combine that with increasing the weapon’s recent rate of fire and using the Epic Shotgun Bolt, and you’ll have an extremely powerful shotgun.

Alternator

While it may be the weakest SMG in the game, it can still give you an edge early in the game.

Alternator kept the top spot as the weakest SMG in the game for a while. However, this lightweight SMG received a damage buff in season 8, which gave him a little more action from the beginning to the middle of the game. Although its low firing rate can put it behind the R-99 and the Volt, it has the added advantage of being very accurate.

When shooting, all you need to do with the weapon’s recoil is to drag it down. Along with the fantastic spray control, it is definitely something that can be used well if you are willing to take the time to master it.

Sentinel

Arriving for the first time in season 4, this bolt-on rifle has a fantastic ability that allows it to consume two shield cells. This puts you in a temporarily dominated state. In this state, each shot deals 25% extra damage for 120 seconds.

With fantastic but underestimated skills, such as opening doors by shooting knobs, Sentinel is the ideal choice. Along with penetrating bullets that allow you to hit multiple targets with just one shot, and a high projectile speed, you will be rewarded for taking the time to try this rifle.

If you add these five underrated weapons to your arsenal, you will guarantee more deaths, no matter what the goal. Make sure to follow @TitanfallBlog for all the latest news and updates from Apex Legends.
