Apex Legends characters who need the biggest buffs in season 9

The 9th season of Apex Legends is coming, and although the talk is all about the new Legend, there are some characters that need attention. Here are four legends that really need major improvements in the new season.

Outside of Horizon, which is possibly the best Legend in the game at the moment, many of the new post-release Legends performed poorly at first, before some buffs were added to improve them.

Despite this, there are a number of new Legends that are not yet competitive enough and, if they do not receive some significant buffs, they will be further behind as new characters arrive.

All of our four choices for the most needy are post-launch legends, starting with season 6’s perpetually weak Rampart.

Rampart

Definitely, Rampart still needs some improvement.

It will be no surprise to see Rampart as the first name on this list, and we are sure that she is the first name on the Respawn list as well.

The most recent data that Respawn shared indicates that Rampart has the worst overall win rate. And it’s not just the dice, players simply know that Rampart is not versatile enough in the game.

It is not that Rampart is useless – it is that it is useless in many situations. If you can position yourself in a strong position and put Shiela and Amped Cover on, it’s a powerful combination.

But with such rare situations, Rampart needs some help to make it more viable, more often.

Crypto is vulnerable when using its drone view, and could do with a few extras in its kit.

Crypto fans will say that he is one of the best legends, once you ‘get well’ with him. While this may be true, it does not change the fact that players simply will not choose a Legend that does not have that instant satisfaction.

It is true that if you can work as a team and carefully consider when to use Crypto’s skills, it is possible to gain a serious advantage over enemy squads. Extra information about the enemy’s whereabouts is always positive.

But, the advantages really end there, so a little more functionality for the drone would be the perfect solution. One idea created by a fan was to allow Crypto to see how many squads were in the area by checking the banners around the arena, another good option.

Respawn said he wants to do something with Crypto in the future, but he is not sure what it will be.

Fuse

The fuse definitely needs a little extra power.

Released in season 8, there was high hopes for Fuse’s kit after seeing all the trailers. On paper, a large incendiary bomb, constant grenades and a super-accurate weapon launcher looked like a new deadly character.

Unfortunately, Fuse fell into the territory of Rampart. With the second worst overall win rate, Fuse is clearly not responding to the hype.

It is difficult to define exactly why this is, since they are still early stages, but we know that situational legends with a lack of mobility (as well as Rampart) always fight at the finish line.

Fuse will definitely need some buffs, and Respawn has confirmed that he will get a boost – but we don’t know what it is yet.

Wolf

Loba’s tactic is very complicated – so the most important thing is just to fix it.

Finally, we have to mention Loba. The problem with Loba is not really that her skills are not strong, it is that they do not work. Specifically, Loba Tactician, the thief’s best friend, is too problematic to be trusted.

So really, all Loba needs is his tactic to work as planned, and it will instantly become a much more popular choice. Its supreme, Black Market Boutique, is already very powerful, and the buff that allows infinite ammo to be looted is perfect.

If developers really want to make Loba even stronger, they can also cut down on animation time after using teleportation, allowing players to get up faster.

The good news is that the developers confirmed that their current fixes for Loba are a difference night and day.

These are the four legends that we’d love to see dramatically improved in season 9 – but each has their favorite character that they’d love to see improved. Respawn will work hard trying to perfect the balance for future seasons, so the notes from the 9th season patch will be a very interesting read.
